In 25 Years Time
We are proud of what has been achieved in the past 25 years and are immensely grateful to the supporters and individuals who have helped turn our ambitions into reality. We still, however, have a very long way to go. With ongoing support and commitment, we can all ensure that even more progress is made in the next 25 years and that the view from 2031 is one we can all take pride in.
As a result, intensive, inhumane factory farming methods are in steep decline all around the world. They are being replaced by sustainable farming practices with high standards of animal welfare.

Practices such as bear baiting, bear dancing and farming bears for their bile have all ceased around the world.
A growing appreciation of the animals we share our planet with means that the mistreatment and exploitation of wild species around the world has decreased dramatically.
A universal declaration for animal welfare has been agreed and is supported by the UN. As a result, more and more governments worldwide are implementing effective national legislation that protects all animals from cruelty and abuse.
Not only has the ban on commercial whaling prevailed, but due to immense international pressure all “scientific” whaling has also ceased. For the first time in history no country in the world permits the hunting of whales for any purpose.
No bullfights have taken place in Catalonia for 25 years. All of the remaining bullfighting provinces in Spain have bowed to national and international pressure and this cruel and unjustified ‘sport‘ no longer takes place.
Humane control of stray animals and responsible pet ownership is an accepted global concept and governments all around the world are developing sustainable, humane stray control programmes supported by effective animal protection laws.
Societies all around the world have realised that the short term gains that made factory farming so seductive cannot justify the immense impact on animal welfare, human health and the environment.
